Drive-thru Open

The drive-thru window is finally open. It has been getting a workout in the mornings. The afternoon is slow at the drive-thru so we invite all of you Cerrillos Road warriors to whip in for a refreshing iced coffee, smoothie or scone. A quick side trip into pdbean might very well save you from a case of road rage.

Whether you use the window or come inside to say "hello," we'll be happy to see you.

Summer Changes at pdbean

COMING SOON! pdbean Drive-Thru
After a year in the permit process, the City of Santa Fe has granted our drive-thru window application. We will begin construction sometime this month and hope to be up and running no later than 6/30.

Busy commuters, students and soccer moms will still be able to enjoy pdbean’s great coffee while taking advantage of the speed and convenience of a drive-thru window from 6am to 5pm.

The drive-thru window will not affect the coffee house hours. Laptop addicts will still be welcome inside at 6am for their morning cup and internet fix.

Official pdbean Website Launched
pdbean is all grown up and showing it with our new website. Take a look and tell us what you think: http://www.pdbeancoffeehouse.com

New Mugs and Travel Cups
Be sure to check out the new mugs and travel cups that will arrive on 6/7. They make great gifts, but don’t forget to treat yourself. Look for special sale pricing in June.

pdbean Closing on Sundays
June 8 is the last time that pdbean will be open on Sunday. We thank our regular Sunday customers for their support and hope to see you all during the week.

Summer Drinks are Here
The hot weather is here and so are our iced coffee drinks. pdbean uses only the finest coffee in a cold-filter process that produces a smooth, rich brew. Delicious on its own, it also makes the best iced lattes and frappes. If coffee isn’t your thing, try one of our fruit smoothies or Italian Sodas instead.

Give Us Your Opinion
Please take advantage of our blog to tell us what you like, or how we can improve. We want pdbean to be your favorite coffee house in Santa Fe.

More Grand Opening news . . . Jerry Carthy to play Saturday

Jerry Carthy, of Baking Company fame, is playing Saturday, Feb, 3., at pdbean coffee house.

From the West Coast of Ireland and now Santa Fe, Jerry plays the Irish tradition wild and sweet on banjo, tin whistles, concertina and guitars. As Jerry says ... his music is sure to drive all your snakes away!!

Jerry and his music will kick off the Grand Opening weekend for pdbean, in business now a whole 2 months. At 8 p.m. Saturday, be sure to come by for the great music of Alex Maryol, who will perform until 10 o'clock.

The Grand Opening is our way of saying thanks to all of the customers who have helped get us off to a great start. Come by any time Saturday or Sunday for FREE HOUSE COFFEE and a little something from Chocolate Maven Bakery. Our treat.

And don't forget ... our new hours will give you more time in the evenings to enjoy a coffee before or after a movie ... or to just come by and use the free wireless internet while sipping Allegro tea or drinking one of our fabulous coffee drinks.

New hours are:
Mon. - Thurs. 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Fri. - Sat. 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Sun. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Come by this weekend and say hello. You'll be greeted warmly and get great service, food and drink!

Grand Opening . . . . . . pd bean coffee house

Alex Maryol ~ Make Everything Alright
We've been open now for six weeks. It's time to take off the training wheels and tell everyone we are up to staff and ready to offer our best coffee, food and service.

In that spirit, pdbean is announcing its Grand Opening Weekend, Feb. 2, 3 and 4 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday). Come by and celebrate with us. We will be offering music, literary readings, drawings, gift cards and gift baskets.

We also will begin new hours of operation. The coffee house will continue to open at 6 a.m. Mon - Sat., but we will be extending the closing hours until 9 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, closing will be 11 p.m. to give ample time for acoustic music performances by local musicians. Our Sunday hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. will remain the same.

Our marquee performer for the Grand Opening is Alex Maryol, known to most Santa Feans as a superb musician ... a local boy who is known far beyond the city limits of Santa Fe. He will perform from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3. By stopping at 10, Alex hopes to give all of the guests ample time to sit for a while before closing to discuss whatever comes up ... including his music.

To all of our newly-minted "regulars," pdbean will close at 2 p.m. Sunday and remain closed through Monday, Christmas Day.

We will reopen at 6 a.m. Tuesday to serve our fabulous coffee and breakfast to those of you who have to get back to work or who plan to wage early-morning battle at the after-Christmas sales.

Enjoy Christmas and we hope to see you soon.

Merry Christmas, etc.

My flagship Enterprise, aka the brand new pdbean coffee house, has been open one week today. Business already is picking up to the point of needing more staff!!

Folks in the neighborhood around the old Lamplighter Liquor store have been great! Their support has meant so much.

My main support, however, still comes from the fabulous folks at the College of Santa Fe, where the pdbean coffee cart got its start.

I'm saving the Grand Opening week for the end of January, when we'll see the return of students and faculty. During that week, we'll kick off the live music jams and rotating student and faculty art wall.

In the meantime, for those of you who are staying in town and who live in the neighborhood, stop by and make use of the free wireless internet while sitting on the comfy red couch. And don't forget to try the "My Sister's Chicken Salad" sandwich ... by far the favorite on the menu so far. If chicken salad isn't your bag, the frito pies and tuna salad are hot picks too.

Til we meet at the big red arrow ... Merry Christmas!
